Federal Police announces the transfers and promotions of senior police officers

KUALA LUMPUR: Police today announced the transfers and promotions of senior police officers nationwide.
In a statement today, Federal police corporate communications head Datin Asmawati Ahmad said the changes will be effective Nov 1.
Leading the list is Deputy Commissioner Datuk A. Thaiveegan, who is a Federal police Commercial Crime Investigation deputy director. He has been promoted to the rank of commissioner police.
Senior Assistant Commissioner Datuk Azham Othman will take over as Federal police Criminal Investigation Department (Investigation/Legislative) deputy director with the rank of deputy commissioner police.
Senior Assistant Commissioner Kang Chez Chiang has been appointed as Federal police Narcotic Department (Intelligence/Operation) deputy director with the rank of deputy commissioner police.
Assistant Commissioner Zulkifli Ali will be reporting for duty as the Federal police Narcotic Department (Intelligence/Operation) assistant deputy director with the rank of senior assistant commissioner.
Assistant Commissioner Izany Abdul Ghany will take over as Federal police Criminal Investigation Department (Prosecution/Legal) D5 assistant deputy director with the rank of senior assistant commissioner.
Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Fawzan Mohamed has been appointed as Federal police Special Branch (Intelligence and Analysis/ Legislative Procedure) E6 with the rank of senior assistant commissioner.
Superintendent Mohd Zahari Sidik will take over as Federal police Special Branch E6B staff officer with the rank of assistant commissioner police.
Superintendent Mohd Luthfi Ismail Abdullah will take over as Kuala Lumpur police Commercial Crime Investigation Department with the rank of assistant senior commissioner.
Superintendent Izan Bakri has been appointed as Kuala Lumpur police Special Branch I deputy chief with the rank of assistant commissioner police.
Superintendent A. Lukas will take over as Johor police Narcotic Department chief with the rank of assistant commissioner police.
