PETALING JAYA: The two men accused of bombing the Movida restaurant and bar in Puchong on June 28 have retracted their guilty plea.

Imam Wahyudin Karjono, 21, and Jonius Ondie @ Jahali, 24, pleaded not guilty at the magistrate’s court here on Monday.

Both accused had earlier admitted attempting to murder eight people in the pub and to possessing a grenade.

On Monday, they pleaded not guilty to eight counts of attempted murder under Section 307 of the Penal Code.



They also pleaded not guilty under Section 8 of the Firearms Act (Heavy Penalty) 1971 for using a hand grenade.

Judge Azwarnida Affandi set Nov 14 for the next mention.

Imam, who is from Puchong, is being represented by lawyers Farida Mohommad and Wong Kar Fai.

Jonius, from Sabah is represented by lawyers Aaron Mark Pius, Kong Jiun Yuan and Joan Sia.
