Third stage BR1M payment brought forward to June 15
PUTRAJAYA: The third stage of the 2016 1Malaysia People's Aid (BR1M) payment has been brought forward to June 15 onwards in view of the Aidilfitri celebration which is expected to fall on July 6.
Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah said in a statement that the government hoped the financial assistance would help the people to purchase necessities and undertake preparations to celebrate the festival.
He said the payment would be credited directly into the recipients' bank accounts. – Bernama
