Sebentar tadi kira-kira jam 3.40 petang , jenazah pertama korban tragedi helikopter terhempas di Sebuyau, Kuching telah tiba di padang IPK Kuching.

Jenazah berkenaan yang dipercayai adalah Allahyarham Datuk Noriah Kasnon iaitu Timbalan Menteri Perusahaan Perladangan dan Komoditi.

Turut hadir menyambut jenazah berkenaan ialah Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim yang merupakan Menteri Pembagunan Wanita, Keluarg Dan Masyarakat.

Menurut Rohani dalam kenyataan di laman Facebooknya kira-kira sejam lalu dia telah berada di IPK Sarawak untuk menyambut jenazah YB Noriah yang sudah dianggap sebagai adiknya sendiri.

Apabila jenazah sampai ternyata, YAB Rohani tidak dapat menahan kesedihan apabila menangis melihat jenazah 'adik'nya itu dipindahkan untuk dihantar ke Hospital Umum Sarawak untuk proses pengecaman dan bedah siasat.

SUBANG: The body of Deputy Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Noriah Kasnon arrived at the Royal Malaysia Air Force (RMAF) base here on Friday night.  

The remains of the Sungai Besar MP arrived from Kuching at around 11.40pm in a casket placed inside a Lockheed C-130 Hercules aircraft.   
On the tarmac, nine airmen pallbearers stood in formation in their blue uniform and songkok to carry Noriah's casket out of the aircraft in a dignified ceremony.
Mourners stood around the aircraft solemnly reciting Al-Fatihah as her casket was lowered to the ground and transported into a hearse.
Noriah's eldest son, Syafiq, had accompanied his mother's casket during the flight from Kuching to Subang.  
He was also in the hearse accompanied by Tanjong Karang MP Datuk Seri Noh Omar.  
Among those who paid their final respects were Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman, Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Wanita Umno chief Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, Negri Sembilan Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, Deputy Public Works Minister Datuk Rosnah Abdul Rashid Shirlin and Gerakan president Datuk Mah Siew Keong.  
Noriah will be laid to rest in her hometown in Sungai Burong, Tanjung Karang.

KUALA SELANGOR: ‎The remains of Deputy Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Noriah Kasnon were laid to rest at the Batu 12 Sungai Burong Muslim cemetery here early Saturday.  

Her body was buried at 1.45am in her hometown village in Kampung Batu 12 in Sungai Burong, Tanjung Karang. This followed funeral prayers at the ‎Masjid Ar Rahmah adjacent to the cemetery. 
The casket carrying her remains arrived at the mosque at 1.10am. 
Several hundreds of people comprising family members, friends, relatives and constituents ‎had gathered at the mosque entrance and ushered the casket.   
As the mosque, leaders from both divides also paid their last respects to Noriah. 
Among them were Kuala Selangor MP Datuk Irmohizam Ibrahim, Permatang assemblyman Datuk Sulaiman Abdul Razak, Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, PKR vice-president Tian Chua and Sekinchan assemblyman Ng Suee Lim. 
Earlier, ‎Selangor Umno chief Datuk Seri Noh Omar‎, Sungai Besar MCA chief Kek Seng Hooi and Sungai Besar Umno chief Datuk Jamal Yunos were present at Noriah's home and met her family and relatives. 
On Thursday, Noriah, was killed in a helicopter crash in Sarawak. She and her husband Asmuni Abdullah were on the ill-fated craft with four others when it went missing en route from Betong to Kuching.  
On board were ministry secretary-general Datuk Dr Sundaran Annamalai, Kuala Kangsar MP and Malaysian Palm Oil Board chairman Datuk Wan Mohammad Khair-il Anuar Wan Ahmad and personal bodyguard Ahmad Sobri Harun, as well as the pilot, Captain Rudolf Rex Ragas.  
Air traffic controllers lost contact with the helicopter at 4.32pm after it took off from Betong at 4.12pm.
Noriah's body was recovered near the Batang Lupar on Friday afternoon. The fate of the other passengers is still not known.
