Copter crash: One more body found

KUCHING: One more body believed to be related to Thursday’s helicopter crash has been found by the search and rescue team in Lingga, Batang Lupar.
Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Farhan Sufyan Borhan confirmed that the body was found at 8.34am on Saturday.
The body, which was still strapped to the seat, was found near Seduku Island, about 10km from the search and rescue operations centre.
The remains were flown to Kuching at about 9.55am by Nuri helicopter.
On Friday, the body of Deputy Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Noriah Kasnon was found at the riverbank of Batang Lupar.
She was travelling with her husband Asmuni Abdullah, Kuala Kangsar MP and Malaysian Palm Oil Board member Datuk Wan Mohammad Khair-il Anuar Wan Ahmad, ministry secretary-general Datuk Dr Sundaran Annamalai and personal bodyguard Ahmad Sobri Harun, as well as the pilot of the flight, Captain Rudolf Rex Ragas.
Noriah was buried at her hometown in Batu 12, Sg Burong, Tanjung Karang at 1.45am on Saturday.

Lagi Seorang Mayat Mangsa Nahas Helikopter Ditemui Pagi Ini


SRI AMAN: Pasukan penyelamat pada pagi ini telah berjaya menemui seorang mayat mangsa nahas helikopter di kawasan hilir Sungai Batang Lupar kira-kira 10km dari pos kawalan Lingga, di sini pagi ini, lapor Berita Harian.

Jurucakap Bomba dan Penyelamat berkata, ketika ini pihak bomba masih berusaha membawa keluar mangsa kedua ini ke jeti berhampiran.

Menurut beliau, pihak bomba akan memaklumkan perkembangan penemuan mangsa nahas dan operasi mencari mangsa yang lain dari semasa ke semasa di pusat operasi SAR di Lingga, Sri Aman.

Mangsa ditemui pada kira-kira jam 8.30 pagi masih belum dapat disahkan identiti. -Siakapkeli.my
