PETALING JAYA: A woman who claimed to have been abused by her husband sent her lover to kill him but the husband survived the attempt on his life.
Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohammad Azlin Sadari said the 40-year-old woman allegedly told her lover that her husband would constantly raise his voice and hand against her, and that she wanted him out of her life permanently.
Her lover – a foreigner from India – and his Sri Lankan friend then attacked the husband near a Taman Puchong Permai apartment at 11.30pm on April 24.
“The attack left the victim with 30 stitches to his head. He was attacked with a machete and axe,” ACP Mohammad Azlin Sadari said.
He said the woman had never reported any abuse by the husband to the police.
Police arrested the wife on April 26 and a day later, brought in the remaining two suspects after locating them in a hotel in Puchong.

The case is currently being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder.
