Female snatch theft plucked from bike by passer-by
GEORGE TOWN: A female snatch theft riding pillion on a motorcycle was apprehended by a passer-by who pulled her off the vehicle in Lorong Stewart here Saturday night.
In the incident about 8.20pm, the victim, a 24-year-old tourist from China, fell during the snatch theft and sustained minor injuries on the knees, elbows and lips.
While the motorcyclist escaped with the handbag containing RM500, the 20-year-old female suspect was handed over to the police to facilitate investigations.
Timur Laut district police chief ACP Mior Faridalatrash Wahid said the tourist was taking pictures of street art near a junction when the snatch thief and her accomplice struck. - Bernama
