Immigration officer denies raping and sodomising daughter

I’m innocent: The Immigration officer being escorted out of the Seremban Sessions Court by two police officers.

SEREMBAN: A 58-year-old Immi­gration officer claimed trial at the Sessions Court here to two charges of raping and sodomising his four-year-old daughter.

He allegedly committed the offences in a house in Sikamat between October and November last year.

The accused pleaded not guilty before judge Fathiyah Idris.

For the alleged rape, he was charged under section 376B of the Penal Code which provides a jail sentence of between 10 and 30 years and a fine or whipping.

For the second charge, he faces a jail term of between five and 20 years and whipping upon conviction.

Fathiyah set bail at RM7,000 and fixed Feb 5 for remention.

The accused posted the bail.
