Shahidan: Meeting to discuss MACC transfers
PADANG BESAR: The decision to transfer two directors of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will be discussed on Monday, said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim.
MACC special operations division director Datuk Bahri Mohamad Zin and strategic communications director Datuk Rohaizad Yaakob were transferred to the Prime Minister’s Department with immediate effect on Friday.
According to Shahidan, they will meet Public Service Department director-general Tan Sri Mohamad Zabidi Zainal and Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa to discuss their transfers.
Following the development, Shahidan has urged all parties to remain calm as the issue could be resolved amicably.
"I am convinced that although this is an administrative matter, the Government can resolve it.
"We do not want the public to lose faith in the government enforcement agencies," he said at a press conference after chairing the state Umno liaison committee meeting, here, Sunday. - BERNAMA
