Malaysia Airlines MH370 - Businessman sues actress Zarina Anjoulie over Dads Luxury car

Businessman sues actress Zarina Anjoulie over luxury car

KUALA LUMPUR: A businessman is suing controversial actress Zarina Anjoulie Lavocah Mohd Fahizul (pic) and five others for alleged negligence and fraud over a luxury car.
Kevin Shah Kadar Shah, 33, said that his father, deceased Kadar Shah Sulaiman had bought a used car - BMW 3201 Limousine RHD - and registered the vehicle under his (Kadar) name on May 17, 2010.

He said that his businessman father had obtained a facility from the Public Islamic Bank Bhd and signed an agreement with it to finance the purchase of the car.
Kevin said that his father had lent his car, with the number plate of WTN 8850, to Zarina - who was Kadar's friend- for her daily use.
He said that his father had passed away on Nov 19, 2011 but Zarina, who had acted in television dramas such as Anak Pontianak, as well as in films such as Ular andKhon Malay, did not take any initiative to return the car to his family.
However, he claimed that the car was repossessed by the bank later although he had settled its outstanding payments.
Kevin said he was shocked to find out later that the car had a different registration plate number - BLP 8858.
He said that a search with the Transport Ministry last year revealed that his father was registered as owner of both plate numbers.
Upon sending a letter to the ministry through his lawyer to get a clarification, he said that it informed him that his father was registered as the owner of a motorcycle with the plate number WTN 8850 and owner of the car with the plate number BLP 8858.
He claimed that his father had never consented to any parties to apply to the Selangor Road Transport department director to change the registration plate number of his car.
Kevin claimed that his father had never issued a letter dated Feb 28, 2011 to the bank, and that his signature on the letter had been forged by despatch clerk Salleh Idris or Zarina or any parties without his consent.
He had named the Selangor Road Transport department director, Transport Ministry, Malaysian Government, Zarina, Salleh and Public Islamic Bank Bhd as defendants in his lawsuit.
Speaking to reporters here on Monday, Federal Counsel Nur Aqilah Ishak said that High Court judge Justice Hue Siew Kheng had set April 7 to hear four applications.
"Kevin is applying to add new parties in the suit and amend his statement of claim.
"Salleh is applying to strike out the suit while the plaintiff is also seeking to get a chemist and a forensic report as well as various documents to verify over his father's handwriting," she added.
Kevin's lawyer J. Jeev Anand said that a copy of the claim had been served to the actress’ last known address but Zarina had failed to appoint her lawyer or turn up in court. Lawyer Y.K.Leong confirmed on the identity of Salleh.
In the suit filed on Nov 12 last year, Kevin, who is the administrator of his father's assets, is seeking for damages and a declaration that his father was the rightful owner of the car.
