Baby dies in nanny's care

PETALING JAYA: A 20-month-old baby died in the care of his nanny at Desa Setia Wira, Dato Keramat near here.
His mother sent the boy to the nanny’s house at about 7.45am Friday.
At about 9.15am, the mother of the boy received a call from the nanny saying that the boy was sick and looked bluish.
The mother rushed to the house of the nanny to find that the boy was unconscious before sending him to Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL).
At 10.30am, doctors at the hospital confirmed that the baby had died.
When contacted, City acting CID chief Asst Comm Khairi Ahrasa confirmed the incident.
ACP Khairi said police had reason to believe that there was a criminal elements in the boy’s death due to the post mortem results.
“We have not made any arrests so far.
“The family has brought the remains of the boy back to Kuala Terengganu,” he said adding that the case was investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
