Slippery, greasy and oh-so-delicious! Here’s where to for your next Maggi Mee goreng fix.  By Eileen Woo

Maggi mee goreng
It’s a dead simple dish that just about anyone can whip up. Or so you would think. After all, maggi mee goreng is just instant noodles. But as fans know, not all maggi mee goreng are created equal. Some are way too soggy, others are half-cooked, and some come with clumpy noodles. Then there are the really good ones, with slippery, slurp-worthy noodles coated with just the right lick of grease and spice.
So where to for the best maggi mee goreng in town? Here’s our pick of the best five mamak spots to get your noodle fix.
Sri Steven’s CornerSri Steven’s Corner is a popular hangout place for youngsters. There are plenty of choices on the menu, from roti canai with dhal and curry to the ever-so-sinful cheese naan and chicken pizza. Steven’s Corner has it all, and most of them are wickedly delicious.
Needless to say, the maggi mee goreng here is equally impressive. The noodles are served with a single fried egg, sunny side up, and come with just enough flavour to stoke the taste buds. It even brought back the Best Maggi Mee Goreng Award from Love Your Street Food for Sri Steven’s Corner in 2010!
Steven’s is open until the wee hours of the morning, especially if it is football night. Be sure to go early during the weekends as it can get pretty crowded from 10.00 pm onwards.

Topped off with a fried egg sunny-side up, it is heaven on a plate.
