Police on Hunt For Joemar The Mastermind Accomplice of AmBank Security Guard Who Shot Officer and Robbed Bank

Killer guard: Cops on manhunt for accomplice called Joemar

KUALA LUMPUR : Police are on the hunt for an accomplice of the security guard who brutally shot dead bank officer Norazita Abu Talib.




Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said the man, known only as Joemar, was believed to have planned the heist and to be possession of the loot.
"We believe the accomplice planned the heist together with the main suspect.
"We are now tracking down his whereabouts," he told a press conference after launching a crime prevention seminar here Monday.
Khalid said police have obtained the guard's real identity and confirmed he was 35 year old.
"We believe the main suspect is from Sulawesi, Indonesia.
"So far, 12 people have been detained in connection with the case," he said, adding that the gun used in the robbery-cum-murder has yet to be recovered.
AmBank operations manager Norazita, 37, was shot while she and a colleague were opening a safe in the bank at Jalan USJ Sentral 2 in Subang Jaya on the evening of Oct 23.
The rogue guard who killed her fled with RM450,000.
More than eight suspects - all Indonesians aged between 30 and 50 - have been detained in connection with the case.
Among them were the suspect's wife, family members and acquaintances. Most of them were found to be using fake MyKads.
Police have recovered only RM20,000 of the stolen cash.
