PETALING JAYA: Organisers for Ke$ha's Warrior Tour concert Saturday have been forced to cancel the event at Stadium Negara after the Foreign Artists' Film Screening and Performance central agency (Puspal) denied its application.
Livescape Asia, in a statement Friday, claimed that the decision from Puspal, which issues performance permits came at the eleventh hour, despite the agency producing documents to assure authorities that its guidelines were adhered to.
"For full disclosure, our application was submitted on Sept 10, 2013. The official letter rejecting our application was only sent to us at 11:24am today (Friday) alongside two backdated letters rejecting our application dated Oct 1 and Oct 18.

"As of the time this statement was written, we have yet to receive an official explanation on the reasons for the cancellation of the Ke$ha Warrior Tour.
"Livescape would like to go on record to state that we have always adhered to all guidelines set forth by PUSPAL," it said, adding that the decision had caused organisers to lose "RM1.1mil overnight".
Livescape added that the electronic dance artist, famous for her party-like antics and hedonistic lyrics, had gone to lengths to agreed modify her show to suit the Malaysian culture and sensitivities.
This included adjustments to song lyrics, wardrobe changes, and a set list that was modified to specifically adhere to the guidelines set forth by the authorities, Livescape claimed.
It said it would update fans on refund details in a few days.
