Megat Jalaluddin takes over as President and CEO of TNB

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Ir Megat Jalaluddin Megat Hassan yesterday took over as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) for the next two years.
He who previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) of TNB, replaces Datuk Seri Ir Baharin Din who will end his term of service on Thursday, 29 February 2024.
According to TNB, as an experienced person in the energy industry and has led various key roles in TNB since 1989, including as Chief Strategic Officer, Chief Retail Officer and Chief Strategy and Business Officer, Megat Jalaluddin is considered a leader of the caliber to bring the company to a more sustainable growth direction and provide added value to all stakeholders.
"As the new CEO of TNB, he will continue the trust of steering the company to drive TNB's business growth and drive TNB's energy transition agenda towards net zero emissions, in line with Malaysia's carbon neutral goal by 2050 – to build a more sustainable future for generations to come, " said a TNB media statement last night.
Abdul Razak in his brief speech congratulated Megat Jalaluddin and thanked him for the appointment.
The management line and all employees of TNB welcome Megat Jalaluddin as the new CEO of TNB to lead and take the Company to a higher level of excellence, as well as increase value for all stakeholders.
