Tokoh Wartawan Negara 2014, Datuk Ahmad Rejal Arbee died early this morning.
The matter was confirmed by Shariff's wife Datin Noraini.
"Innalilahi wainna ilaihi rojiun. My husband Ahmad Rejal Arbee has returned to rahmatullah a moment ago at 2 in the morning," she said through a post on Facebook today.
Ahmad Rejal, 84, is the former Editor-in-Chief of the National News Organization (Bernama) and former Editor of the Berita Harian Group.
The deceased began working with Bernama since 1969 as a senior reporter before moving to Jakarta, Indonesia, thus becoming the news agency's first overseas reporter in 1973. - BERNAMA
