Fahmi congratulates the success of the animation film 'Horologist'

KUALA LUMPUR: Minister of Communications and Digital Fahmi Fadzil congratulated the director of the animated short film 'Horologist' Jared Lee who won the Best Animation award at the San Diego Comic-Con Festival in the United States, on Tuesday.
Fahmi in a post on Facebook last night said the win was a big achievement for the country's animation industry as it was the first Malaysian animation film to win the award.
"On behalf of the Ministry of Communications and Digital, we are proud that he took advantage of a grant from the Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) to create this animated adaptation. Once again, congratulations Jared Lee!" he said.
Meanwhile, Lee through a post on Instagram @jaredle3 expressed his appreciation for MDEC and the National Film Development Corporation of Malaysia (Finas) who contributed to the success.
"There are no words other than a thousand thanks to everyone who approved this project and everyone who supported the manga (comic).
"My friends, family and wife who believe in the stories I want to tell and the vision that I can't describe well in words. Will continue to work as long as I can," he said.
