FIFA, the world praises Ultras Malaya
KUALA LUMPUR: The actions of the Malayan Ultras supporters group to pay tribute to the Thai team after the second semi-final of the AFF Cup 2022 last night received attention from various parties.
Even more proud when it also received praise from the International Football Federation (FIFA) who uploaded the video on their Twitter page.
The world football body also wrote: "Wonderful match. Malaysian fans show respect to Thai players after their team lost in AFF Cup."
The average social media user considered the action as the best of Ultras Malaya even though the Harimau Malaya squad lost in the semi-finals.
Earlier, the official Facebook page of the AFF Cup 2022 uploaded a video of Ultras Malaya singing a song for the Thai players after the squad beat Malaysia 3-0 in the second semi-final at the Thammasat Stadium last night.
The victory saw Thailand, who are also the defending champions, advance to the final for the 10th time with an aggregate score of 3-1 after losing 0-1 in the first semi-final at the National Stadium, Bukit Jalil, last Saturday.
Thailand will face two-time champions Vietnam in the final stage which will take place this Friday and Monday.
