KJ fired, Hishammuddin, Shahril suspended from UMNO membership
KUALA LUMPUR: Former UMNO Youth Leader who is also UMNO Deputy Leader of Rembau Division, Khairy Jamaluddin was dismissed from UMNO tonight.
Party sources said that the decision was made at the UMNO Supreme Working Council (MKT) meeting chaired by UMNO President, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, tonight.
Meanwhile, UMNO head of Sembrong division, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein and UMNO Youth Vice Head, Shahril Hamdan membership were suspended
Hishammuddin and Shahril follow the list of the latest leaders to be suspended, after UMNO Supreme Working Council Member Tan Sri Noh Omar announced receiving the same decision tonight.
Also suspended from membership for six years, UMNO Head of Tebrau Division, Datuk Maulizan Bujang.
Meanwhile, UMNO Vice President, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin who was met by the media refused to share the list of leaders who were sacked or suspended, instead stating that the decision made by MKT tonight had to be made even though it was bitter.
He also explained that all the disciplinary actions imposed were in accordance with the recommendations of the UMNO Disciplinary Board.
