KUALA LUMPUR : The assets of controversial cosmetics entrepreneur Muhammad Sajjad Kamaruz Zaman or better known as Nur Sajat are set to be auctioned on Tuesday at 10.30am.
According to a court order issued on 8 December, the public auction will be held at address No. 2, Jalan Polo 10/3, Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
According to the lawyers, Nurul Hafidzah Hassan and Zeti Zukifili, the action was taken after finding that Nur Sajat had failed to pay compensation after a seizure writ was plastered on his premises on 14 December. "The defendant did not make payment after the seizure and sale writ was posted at the premises of Muhammad Sajjad Kamaruz Zaman on 14 December.
"The court has therefore approved the plaintiff's application for all seized items to be auctioned tomorrow," he said in a statement on Monday.
Meanwhile, former main stockists of the cosmetics entrepreneur Nurwati Hussin and Mohamed Syakir Hussin are trying to get their RM200,000 compensation
According to the lawyer representing his side, the action is also a solution to redeem the compensation payable by the defendant.
"The court's decision is testimony that the country's legal system agrees with the arguments and the evidence presented by the plaintiffs," he added.
Members of the public who wish to make purchases for the list of goods to be auctioned can go directly to the address specified.
