The Health Ministry today reported 11,889 new Covid-19 cases as of 12 noon today, compared to 12,735 cases yesterday, and 12,434 cases last Wednesday. This brings the cumulative infection to 2,257,584.
The Peninsula accounted for 8,602 new cases or 72.4 per cent while Sabah and Sarawak recorded 3,287 new infections or 27.6 per cent.
The Klang Valley accounted for 1,893 cases or 22.0 per cent of new infections with Selangor registering 1,568 or about 82 per cent of the cases. While 6,709 cases or 78. are other states in the peninsula.
