A video of a Member of Parliament from PAS allegedly speaking with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong has gone viral on social media.
In the video the Member of Parliament for Sik, Kedah, Ahmad Tarmizi Sulaiman was seemingly being interviewed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on the phone.
Ahmad Tamizi was reported to be Covid-19 positive about two weeks ago
This is seemingly a clear violation of the King's directive to keep whatever expression of support secret.
When questioned who his choice was, he replied he was choosing Dato Seri Ismail Sabri, the Member of Parliament of Bera to be elected at the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
When further questioned by the YDP Agong where he was Ahmad Tarmizi's replied he was at the PAS Headquarters in Jalan Raja Laut.
The Viral video has shocked many as the choice of each of the MPs is supposed to be kept confidential and for the Yang di-Pertuan Agong only. It is written in his decree stating "Honorable members are reminded to maintain the confidentiality of the Statutoru Declaration Letter until His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong decides on the matter in paragraph 2 above".
All the MPs who declared their support for Ismail Sabri had an audience with the he Yang di-Pertuan Agong, on their Sworn Statements (SD) today,
Time will tell if action will be taken against the PAS MP for this viral video.
