Special Rulers Meeting to discuss who becomes the 9th Prime Minister Today
Special Meeting of the Malay Rulers are expected to take place in the afternoon.
KUALA LUMPUR: Today Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Al-Abdullah Al-Mustafa Ri'ayatuddin Billah Shah will hold a special meeting with the Malay Rulers to discuss the prospective prime minister and the government.
The matter was confirmed by Datuk Pengelola Bijaya Diraja Istana Negara, Datuk Indera Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin last Wednesday.
The meeting is expected to take place in the afternoon.
Yesterday, a total of 114 MPs from several parties were called before His Majesty to confirm their sworn statements (SD) against the Prime Ministerial candidate.
All the so-called parties such as UMNO, Barisan Nasional, GPS, Pas and Bersatu have selected Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob as the 9th Prime Minister.
Rulers have met several times since last year when the political crisis and COVID-19 hit the country.
