PETALING JAYA: PKR claims more than 105 MP's  are supporting Anwar

Its Chief Information Officer, Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, however, was reluctant to reveal the number  and where the MP's the support came from.

"The candidate for prime minister of Pakatan Harapan (PH) is Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, there is an increase (of support). We cannot be reveal more because the direction of the Istana Negara is to maintain secrecy," 

Warisan President Mohd Shafie Apdal has endorsed Anwar. Shafie confirmed the lone dissident candidate was Anwar after his failure to get support from GPS 18 MP's

In an interview with Astro Awani last night, Shafie said that the Berkanun (SD) account is not the only way to choose the prime minister because the new prime minister must legitimize his position through a vote of confidence in the Parliament.

PN, Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) have agreed to name Ismail Sabri Yaakob, as their candidate for prime minister.

Ismail was named Umno as the third choice to fill the vacant post after its president, Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said he was not interested in the position, while his deputy-president, Mohamad Hasan is not a Member of Parliament, thus leaving Ismail Sabri next in line.
