A VIDEO went viral over the weekend showing a woman throwing a fit after two shopping mall security guards denied her sister entry without a face mask on.

According to an online English language portal, the woman is a local cosmetics company founder and chief executive officer (CEO), known as "Ceknon".

The viral video shows Ceknon shrieking at the security guards at IKEA Cheras after they stopped her and her sister from entering the furniture retail outlet, while not providing her mask-less sister, Eka, with a face covering.

Eka filmed the incident and uploaded the video to her Instagram Stories, standing by her sister as she furiously reprimanded the security guards.

In the viral video, Ceknon can be seen screaming at the guards and threateningly pointing a finger at their faces

"I'll kick you right now," Ceknon said, while her sister said in agreement behind the camera: "You should prepare masks."

Ceknon grew angrier and accused the guards of being unfair when a child just happened to enter the store without a mask.

"There's a boy who just went in without a mask! Why not my sister? You all are useless," she yelled as the first security guard walked off to check on the boy.

Ceknon then went on to shout at the second guard angrily: "This is not a RM2 shop. But you expect me to go all the way out to buy a mask when the shops outside have sold out?"

"You expect me to go outside to buy a mask?" she questioned again in disbelief.

"It would be different if my sister had a fever. Are you going to let me in or not?" she demanded as she kicked the metal queue barrier separating her and the guard.

The duo eventually gained entry after a passerby kindly gave Eka a face mask to wear.

In another Instagram Story, Eka said that they were eventually allowed into the store.

"You don't need to buy a mask or bring one when you go shopping, people will give it to you for free," said Ceknon.

"Yes, I got this for free because Ceknon threw a fit. If you want free stuff, find yourself a sister who is hot-tempered but nice to her siblings," continued Eka.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH NOK KENAPA NI? KAU LAWO KE ORANG NAK KENA SEDIAKAN MASK UNTUK KAU?

Kau masuk rumah orang ikut lah peraturan rumah orang. Tak faham lah sampai nak tantrum bagai. Semata - mata nak dapat free mask utk masuk. Sangkak pic.twitter.com/P0uw1TBhDg

After the incident, Eka took to Instagram again to further explain their situation and justify her sister's actions.

Eka said that she really did not think of bringing her own face mask, as she expected reputable shopping malls to provide them to shoppers.

"It's not like we were going somewhere that poor people shop," she wrote.

"We expected them to prepare free masks for us, or at least sell them. When I go to sundry shops, even they give out free masks."

Eka also continued to condemn the security guards and call them derogatory names.

The sisters have since received backlash on social media, with many criticising them for their blatant disrespect and entitled behaviour

"I really pity the guards. If you know that you're going to a place like IKEA, prepare your mask earlier. Even if you didn't have a mask, all you had to do was ask someone nicely and they might even offer you more masks," said a netizen.

"You were just too lazy to buy a mask and let your mouth run instead of using your brain."

Meanwhile, someone asked the police to investigate the incident for violating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and to take action.

"Different places will have different procedures. Some places like Mid Valley will provide you a mask, but not all of them. You should not expect all places to prepare a mask for you," said another Twitter user. – Says
