KUALA LUMPUR: The short-selling activities of Petronas Gas were suspended in Friday afternoon trade until next Monday after its share price fell more than 15% from the reference price of RM16.64.

Petronas Gas's share price fell RM2.48 or 15% to RM14.16 at 3.10pm and 3.14pm, causing Bursa Securities to suspend the short-selling activities.


Short-selling activities will be activated at 8.30am on Monday.

Stock market data showed Petronas Gas fell to a low of RM14 – down RM2.64 from Thursday's close of RM16.64.


However, some fund buying enabled it to end Friday off the intra-day low.

At 5pm, it had closed at RM16.48, down 16 sen. There were 950,000 shares traded at prices ranging from RM14 to RM16.60.
