Those arrested during the wild parties at a condominium unit in Jalan Ampang on Thursday.

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 48 people, including 13 women, were arrested when police raided two wild parties held at a condominium in the city.

Those detained are mostly teenagers, with the youngest just 12 and the oldest 25.

Acting on a tip-off, police raided the condominium in Kampung Berembang along Jalan Ampang at about 10.30am on Thursday and arrested 27 men and seven women.

Wangsa Maju OCPD Supt Rajab Ahmad Ismail said police seized 2.30g of ecstasy, 1g of Erimin 5 and 1g of ketamine.

“We believe the suspects would gather at the unit and have private drug parties, ” he said.

“We also arrested two women believed to be the organisers.”

Two hours later, police raided another unit at the same condominium and arrested eight men and four women.

He said they seized an array of drugs, including 1.7g of ecstasy, 1g of ketamine and 500ml of ketum water.

Supt Rajab said some of those arrested were still in school while the others were working adults.

“The suspects have been remanded for four days, ” he said.

He advised the public not to be involved in such private parties as it was clearly against the law.

“We will take stern action against the organiser as well as the participants, ” he said.
