Three men in Ampang fight surrender to police, but not Farhash

PETALING JAYA: Three men, believed to be involved in a brawl in Ampang on National Day (Aug 31) night, have turned themselves in to help police with investigations, but main suspect Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak (pic) is still at large.
Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Fadzil Ahmat said the men, aged between 26 and 35, turned themselves in on Wednesday (Sept 4) at the Ampang Jaya District Police Headquarters at around 11.40am.
"All three of them are Muay Thai coaches and they will be remanded Thursday (Sept 5) to aid investigations," he said.
He said one of the men is also on the Cheras District Police Headquarters wanted list for a drug offence and has a criminal record, while the other two are clean.
SAC Fadzil said police are still tracing Farhash's whereabouts, and urged the Perak PKR chief to turn himself in to help with investigations.
Earlier, Farhash, who is also PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's political secretary, said he would aid police in their investigations into the brawl on Aug 31, after he was made aware of a police report on the matter in which his brother was named.
The fight on Aug 31 started when one man pushed the other at a sports complex in Ampang. The management was, however, able to stop the fight from escalating.
Unfortunately, the matter didn't end there. The two men met again at the venue's motorcycle parking lot, and were later joined by 10 other men.
There, the victim was attacked with helmets, knives and chairs.
SAC Fadzil said the victim's friends tried their best to help, but failed and the victim suffered injuries to his waist and genitals.
The case is being investigated under Section 148 of the Penal Code for possessing weapons or missiles at a riot.
