Rosmah claims trial to graft charges over S'wak solar project

KUALA LUMPUR: Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has claimed trial at the Sessions Court here to two counts of corruption under Section 16 (a)(A) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009.

She was charged with soliciting RM187.5mil through her former aide Datuk Rizal Mansor and receiving RM1.5mil in bribe relating to the RM1.25bil solar hybrid project for rural schools in Sarawak.


Sessions Court judge Azman Ahmad allowed bail at RM1mil in one surety on Thursday (Nov 15).

The court also allowed Rosmah to pay bail in two instalments with RM500,000 to be paid today and the balance to be paid in seven days.
