TELUK INTAN: A driver and two passengers of Porsche Cayenne took a thrilling ride of their lives when a buffalo decided to join them.
The incident took place when the high performance family sports car crashed into the bovine, causing it to be tossed into the air. The buffalo then crashed through the vehicle’s sunroof, and was lodged in the vehicle.
Though the passengers survived the ride with minor injuries, the bovine did not.
The 9pm incident took place when the vehicle was travelling from Teluk Intan to Langkap and the driver, unable to avoid the buffalo, crashed into it, as it was crossing the road at Km12 Jalan Changkat Jong.
Hilir Perak District deputy police chief Superintendent Yahaya Hassan said the accident caused severe damage to the vehicle.
“The buffalo died at the scene, while all three victims, two their 30s and a nine-year-old were slightly injured.
“The victims were sent to Anson Bay Treatment Centre for treatment,” he said today.
Yahaya said it was a straight road and the weather was good during the incident but the area was dark as there were no streetlights.
