Cops identify suspects in robbery-cum-rape case in Bandar Kinrara

PUCHONG: Police have identified the suspects behind the robbery and rape case in Bandar Kinrara here.

"We have also identified the crime scene and will continue with our investigations," said Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Megat Mohamad Aminuddin Megat Alias when contacted on Sunday.

He also confirmed that the owner of the premises where the incident occurred had lodged a police report at the Bandar Kinrara police station at 4.23pm on Saturday.

The owner confirmed that the crime took place at his premises at around 11am on Thursday.

On Saturday, a four-minute video of the crime went viral. In the incident, two unidentified individuals are believed to have entered a gambling den with the intention to rob the outlet.

Not satisfied with just robbing the place, the suspects also took turns to rape the cashier in a hidden corner of the outlet.

CCTV footage of the duo taking turns forcing themselves on the victim as well as their pictures have made its rounds via WhatsApp and other social media apps.

Pictures of two men being handcuffed and led into a black vehicle started cropping up on social media.

When asked whether the two men were the suspects, ACP Megat said the matter was under investigation.

Police had formed a task force to investigate the case.
