As I watched the 65th Miss Universe National Costume Competition, I was shocked at the costume the Malaysian beauty wore.
How can the costume worn by the Malaysian representative Kiran Jassal be our National Costume, there was nothing Malaysian about it.. The competition clearly states national costume competition.It was the same costume on left in the picture below. So what do you think? Is that our National Costume?
I am trying to be open minded, but lets not loose our pride to showcase our true culture and costumes instead of coming up with poor gimmicks.
I am one of the proudest of the Petronas Twin Towers but showcasing it on this stage, in this way just does not make sense, not with the outfit she was wearing at the biggest international national costume competition,
They should have incorporated the twin towers in one of our actual national costumes.
Behind the scenes, somebody messed up big time choosing this costume for a competition like the Miss Universe.
