No VIP treatment: Duterte takes commercial flight to Davao

No VIP treatment.

President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday night flew to Davao City on board a commercial flight.

Duterte took a premium economy seat onboard Philippine Airlines Flight PR 1825, which departed Manila at 9 p.m.

Photos from the Twitter account of the Presidential Communications office showed Duterte had undergone security checks like a regular passenger.

The President was also seen greeting passengers at the Naia Terminal 3.

Duterte is expexted to attend the Hariraya event at the SMX Convention Center in Davao City.

He has earlier said the he does not want to be given a priority treatment at the airport so as not to cause inconvenience to regular passengers. He also said he would take commercial flights going back and forth from Davao City. CDG
