PETALING JAYA: President Barack Obama left Malaysia for the US after a three-day visit for the 27th Asean Summit and related summits.
Arriving at the RMAF base in Subang a little after 5pm Sunday, he was met by Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid and Malaysia's Ambassador to the US Datuk Dr Awang Adek Hussin.
Foreign Affairs Ministry chief protocol officer Datuk Kamilan Maksom was also there to see him off.
Twenty-eight officers of the First Battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment stood by a red carpet leading to Air Force One as a guard of honour.
A light rain about an hour earlier wet the runway here, but stopped after a few minutes.
