Super Fast Action by UMNO HQ as 9 leaders to face Umno discipline bureau this Wednesday over calls for Najib’s resignation

9 leaders to face Umno discipline bureau over calls for Najib’s resignation

Nine Teluk Kemang Umno leaders will appear before the party discipline bureau on Wednesday after urging Datuk Seri Najib Razak to step down as Umno president last month.
Umno's Taman TKK branch chief Kamarul Azman Habibur Rahman said he had received a letter from the party's headquarters summoning them to the tribunal.
"Yesterday and today, nine of those who were part of the press conference in Teluk Kemang have been sent a disciplinary letter.
"And the nine, which includes me, will appear before the Umno discipline tribunal on Wednesday, 2.30pm," Kamarul told a press conference in Puchong, Selangor last night after launching a movement pressuring Najib to resign.
He said the decision to haul them up showed Umno was afraid the movement might gain momentum.
"It's clear from their speedy action that they are worried about this movement. We will organise bigger activities after this," Kamarul said.
On October 24, Umno leaders from the Telok Kemang division held a press conference to demand Najib's resignation, citing their loss of confidence in his leadership.
They said they represented 13 Umno branches – Kampung Linggi, Taman Selasih, Taman PD Utama, Taman Datuk Abdul Samad, Taman Suwa Betung, Kampung Teluk, Sungai Sekawang, Bukit Tembok, Taman Intan Duyung, Taman TKK, Kampung Pacitan, Bunga Raya and Taman Politeknik. – November 28, 2015.
