Our winner for the best Ramadan Buka Puasa Buffet of 2014, The Royale Chulan Hotel Kuala Lumpur has prepared a Ramadhan Buka Puasa Spread themed "Juadah Rakyat" that must be one of the top Ramadan Buffets in the Klang Valley for 2015. The five-star hotel  continues to be a gentle reminder that culture and heritage exist in the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur.

Guest will be mesmerized by the ambiance of the traditional outdoor village setting of the beautiful Taman Mahsuri Courtyard. With the waterfall and greenery surrounding the courtyard you will feel that you are in a true village. It's truly great place to share your Ramadhan moments be it with family, friends or more so business associates. A great place for taking "Selfies" too.

Here you can idulge in a lavish buffet spread of over 1000 local and asian dishes. Guest are greeted by a 7 piece Ghazal band with two pretty singers belting out Ramadan and Raya songs.

Live cooking stations seem to be the order of the day as most of the food are prepared with the freshest ingredient's. The tents that surround the courtyard house different cuisines on offer and the live cooking stations as the desserts tent takes centre stage of the courtyard.

Unlike our usual review where we tell you one by one what was great tasting, that will be impossible to do so today, as everything was fabulous and great tasting.  If Michelin stars could be given for this place we would give it 3 stars. We have never put up this many pictures in one review but then no one ever had this many choices.

The star of every buka puasa buffet is the Lamb Corner and it was no different here. The lamb being roasted over the fire with the waterfall in the background was simply a sight to behold.

The live cooking station tents house Mee, Tosai, Roti Canai, Aneka Mee Malaysia, Rusa Panggang Bersama Rempah Timur Tengah, Buyung , Nasi Ayam, Ikan Bakar, Seafood, Apam Balik, Popiah Basah, ABC or Ais Kacang and Lok Lok Sections. Not surprisingly the Section that was the most popular was the Lamb and Deer BBQ section.

While the other tents housed the sections serving Nasi Kandar, Lemang and Rendang. Sup Ekor, Bubur, Kari Kepala Ikan, Nasi Kerabu 3 rasa, Fresh Fruits, Satay, Pass Sembor, Aneka Kerabu. Ulaman & Herba, Buyung, Roti John, Lok Lok and the Royal Bubur Lambuk!

The Japanese, Indian Chinese, Italian and Arabic cuisine corners were also a crowd favourite.

They even had a tent called "gantung gantung" mainly for kids filled with popcorn and snacks.

The Hot & Cold drinks section had almost everything you could want such Air Tebu, Air Mata Kuching, Bandung , Teh Tarik, Milo, Nescafe and even a Mango based Slush!

The Deserts Tent housed everything "sinful" and it was simply a sight to behold, The Seri Muka, Bubur Kacang Merah and mousse was my personal favourites . We wanted to try everything but by this time all the 4 reviewers simply had no space in our tummies. So we tried the deserts that we grew up to and we were familiar with when we were kids

They had a section for  Traditional Fried Malay Kuih and Ubi

The ABC / Ice kacang/ Cendol had over 200 condiments to accompany it! It was simply mind blowing to see so many condiments

The fruits oorner had Malaysian seasonal favourites.

It takes good planning and efficiency to put up a buffet of this size and to make sure it consistently taste good. Mr. Malkit Singh and his team personally oversees the operations every evening while greeting guest. Meanwhile, Chef Sobri Soid and his team of Chef's toil to make sure guest are treated to only the best tasting food. The hotel also gets top marks for food presentation.

Themed Juadah Rakyat, the hotel has made efforts to ensure many of the Rakyat are able to enjoy the tremendous spread and experience.
