Mohd Azizi is now Petaling Jaya mayor.
Selayang Muncipal Council president Mohd Azizi Mohd Zain has been named as the new Petaling Jaya City mayor.
Selangor State Secretary Datuk Mohammed Khusrin Munawi made the announcement on his Facebook posting on Monday afternoon.
He said the appointment takes immediate effect.
Mohammed Khusrin also named Kuala Selangor district officer Suliman Abd Rahman as Mohd Azizi’s replacement.
A qualified accountant, Azizi started his career as an assistant director at the Sabah Accountant-General’s office in 1985.
He also was also the director of the National Accountants Department in Putrajaya, and Selangor State Treasurer until 2012 before appointed to serve the Selayang Municipal Council.
