KLUANG: The police will identify those who acted outside the law at a rally to support jailed opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Saturday, including scribbling obscene words on police vehicles.
Deputy Inspector General of Police, Datuk Seri Noor Rashid Ibrahim said police will be examining photographs and video footage recorded during the rally.
"Every rally is documented with photographs, including unruly acts. We will try to identify them via the images," he told reporters after closing the Inspector General of Police Trophy bowling tournament, here.
Noor Rashid reminded the supporters to abide by the law during rallies to avoid police action against them.
He said the police have to act decisively to take action against those who acted outside the law, including making insults and incitement.
"We have to bear in mind that the courts have already tried Anwar. I advise dissatisfied supporters to act within the law," he added. - Bernama
