Suspected security guard robber of jewellery store remanded until Nov 10

KUALA LUMPUR: The Filipino security guard, who allegedly robbed a jewellery store he worked for in Setapak last week, has been remanded by police until Nov 10 to assist investigations.
City CID director SAC Datuk Ku Chin Wah confirmed this, adding that the case was being investigated under Section 395 of the Penal Code for armed robbery.

The 27-year-old suspect and a friend were waiting to board a plane to Sabah at LCCT Sunday morning, when they were detained by police.
They were discovered to have fake MyKads.
The suspect later led police to a house in Pandan Jaya where the recovered a Smith & Wesson .38 revolver, five bullets, price tags and some of the stolen jewellery.
Meanwhile, SAC Ku said police were also on the hunt for the suspect's girlfriend who is believed to keeping a large sum of the jewellery the suspect stole.
"We believe she is also a Filipino and is still in the city," he said on Monday.
The suspect, who posed as Sabahan Hikman Jacob, threatened his colleagues at the jewellery store with a pistol and walked out with a tray of gold chains in KL Festival City Mall on Oct 31.
