Police Shoot Two Men Who Attacked Their Men In Separate Incidents in Semporna

Cops shoot two men who attacked them in separate incidents

In the first incident, a patrol team of six policemen came across a man clad in a pink blanket walking around in the town area at about 3.15am.
The man whipped out a 15cm-long knife and attacked one of the policemen when they approached him.
A policeman immediately fired a shot and the bullet hit the 27-year-old man in the right shoulder.
Police rushed the man to the district hospital for treatment.
In the second incident about three hours later, another patrol police team in the town area spotted a man acting suspiciously.
Upon approaching him, the 29-year-old man fled and two bystanders joined in the chase.
After a short chase, the man turned around and attempted to attack one of the bystanders, prompting a policeman to fire two shots.
The shots hit the man in the right and left calf. He was immediately rushed to the district hospital as well.
