Police Arrest Security Guard & With Store Supervisor Who Stole RM200,000 Worth Of Electronic Goods

Cops arrest 'security guards' who robbed employer of electronic gadgets worth RM200,000

PETALING JAYA: Two security guards did more than open up the doors of their employer’s shop for the day’s business when they carted off more than RM200,000 worth of electronic goods.

They did not have time to enjoy the spoils of their crime as police nabbed them after obtaining their personal details from their security company.
Police later discovered that the shop’s supervisor was also involved in the theft.
During the incident at Sunway Pyramid on Thursday, the two Nepali guards were supposed to open the tele-communication shop’s doors at 6.45am.
Instead of going back to their routine of guarding the place, they pried open the door to the storeroom and carted away 99 smartphones and tablets.
The outlet’s manager lodged a police report after discovering the break-in when he arrived for work.
Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Yahaya Ramli said information from the security company led to the arrests of the two guards, age 23 and 24, at a flat in Fortune Avenue, Kepong.
They were arrested at around 5pm on Friday.
Police recovered 74 units of the stolen items from the raid.
ACP Yahaya said the shop’s 25-year-old supervisor was picked up after the police found 23 more units of the stolen items in his house in Jalan PJU 1A/5.
Among the items recovered are tablets and smarphones such as Samsung Galaxy Tab, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung Galaxy Ace 3, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPad Mini and Sony Xperia.
He said the case was being investigated under Section 380 of the Penal Code for robbery.
