KUALA LUMPUR: Famous blogger, Raja Petra Kamarudin died in Manchester, United Kingdom (UK) on Monday.
The deceased breathed his last at the age of 74.
The passing of Raja Petra was confirmed by his younger brother to the FMT news portal.
"With deep sadness, I would like to inform you that my beloved brother, Raja Petra Kamarudin, passed away at 11.26pm UK time on Monday, September 9 in Manchester, UK," he said in a brief message to FMT.
The deceased was born on September 27, 1950 and was known by his abbreviated name, RPK.
Raja Petra is the operator of the Malaysia Today website, which is known for its commentary and articles on Malaysian politics.
For the past few years, King Petra has been living in Manchester.
Despite being abroad, he continues to actively write and voice his views on Malaysian politics through digital platforms.
