Sabah FC maintained its status as the leader of Group H, AFC Cup after beating Indonesian club, PSM Makassar, 5-0 at the Kapten I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Bali last night.

After defeating the Singaporean club, Hougang United FC, 3-1 in the opening action in Likas last September 21, Sabah maintained the winning streak, this time with a big win at the opponent's court.

The national striker, Darren Lok, emerged as the best player scoring two goals, each in a different half.

Darren started the scoring party as early as the sixth minute by heading in Saddil Ramdani's cross.

Gabriel Peres then extended the lead on the half-hour mark, also heading in Saddil's cross, thus giving the visitors a comfortable lead heading into the break.

Darren needed just 20 seconds into the second half to destroy PSM's hopes, as he finished the ball into the opposition goal following a fine solo move by Saddil from the right.

Stuart Wilkin also wanted to sculpt his name as a scorer through a free kick from outside the penalty box, which was deflected by the opponent's defense in the 73rd minute.

Completing the stylish victory of the Negeri di Bawah Bayu squad was substitute Farhan Roslan with his goal in stoppage time.

Sabah will next face the Vietnamese club, Hai Phong, for the third action at the opponent's site at the end of this month.
