UMNO president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi confirms the party is considering several candidates as its choice for prime minister, although he ruled himself out of the race. 

"Saya tidak pernah terlintas untuk menamakan diri sebagai calon Perdana Menteri", said Zahid.
