KOTA BHARU: Police are ready to help if the Ministry of Health (MOH) makes a complaint regarding the illegal sale of Ivermectin as a COVID-19 antidote.
Deputy Inspector -General of Police Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim said the issue of selling the drugs was under the MOH according to the Poisons Act 1952.
"We will help if there is a report from the MOH about the existence of a syndicate (sale of Ivermectin), then we will conduct an investigation," he said after an official working visit at the Kelantan Contingent Police Headquarters here today.
Earlier, local newspapers reported the promotion of the sale of Ivermectin as a drug claimed to be able to cure COVID-19 infections was increasingly aggressive on the black market as well as social media.
In another development, he once again asked the people not to speculate, incite or spread untruths regarding the country's political situation as it could threaten the country's peace.
