SHAH ALAM, 17 September - Four out of 77 foreigners detained at Op Benteng when trying to infiltrate the country via The waters of Klang on Sept. 14 were infected with COVID-19 after undergoing the initial screening.

Chief of the South Klang Regional Police, ACP Shamsul Amar Ramli, said that all the detained foreigners had been placed at the Pandamaran Klang Police Station nearby after undergoing initial screening for COVID-19.

"The results of the initial screening test were related to finding four foreigners who were believed to be positive for COVID-19 and they were then sent to Sungai Buloh Hospital to undergo a second screening.

Those who were found positive involved three men and a woman aged between 25 and 47 years, "he said in a reality here, today.

Bernama on Tuesday reported that 77 Indonesian foreigners including a tekong and three bot crews were detained in the waters of Pulau Ketam when they tried to infiltrate the country.

All foreign migrants who are aged one to 58 years are believed to be on their way from Tanjung Balai, Indonesia to the waters around Klang.
