The Health Ministry announced 1,268 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the total number of infections nationwide to 66,226.
Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, the ministry’s disease control and prevention director general, Achmad Yurianto, added that 68 more people had died of the disease, bringing the death toll to 3,241.
The total number of recovered patients has also increased to 30,785.
The capital city recorded 190 new confirmed cases, bringing the total tally to 12,857. Meanwhile, East Java reported 280 new cases, South Sulawesi 218, Central Java 140, West Java 79, and South Kalimantan 67.
The virus has spread to all of the country's 34 provinces. (dfr/mfp)
