Foreign worker gets hand stuck in meat cutting machine

GEORGE TOWN: A Myanmar man is in critical condition after getting his hand stuck in a meat cutting machine at Lorong Nipah, Taman Lip Sin, here, today.
The Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call about 1.25pm and upon arrival, spent nearly three hours trying to get Win Thu Latt's hand out of the machine.
He was manning the machine when his hand got trapped between the rollers of the machine.

"The 44-year-old victim was in a panic state and the team managed to calm him down before rushing him to Penang Hospital for further treatment."
"The team had to use a hydraulic cutter to pry the machine open." he said.
