PARIT: An army commando has been charged for possessing a t-shirt with the Islamic State (IS) design at his home in Lambor Kiri, Perak Tengah.
Mohd Abu Haliff Shah Abu Bakar, 28, was charged under Section 130JB(1)(a) of the Penal Code at the Magistrate Court here on Tuesday.
No plea was recorded.
According to the charge sheet, Mohd Abu Haliff Shah was said to have committed the crime on Nov 12 at about 1.30pm.
Judge Mohd Fitri Sadarudin set Jan 6 next year for re-mention.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Nurul Qistini Qamarul Abrar prosecuted.
