PETALING JAYA: US president Barack Obama has arrived in Malaysia Friday for a three-day visit ahead of the 27th Asean and related summits here.
The president's official jet, Air Force One, touched down at the RMAF base in Subang at 3.30pm after a three-hour flight from Manila, Phillipines, where he attended the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) gathering.
Obama was greeted by Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek and a guard of honour mounted by officers of the First Battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment.
The first item on his agenda here in Malaysia is a town hall meeting with Asean Youth at the Taylor's University lakeside campus here.
